Turkish Delight ~ Sweetened rosewater, powdered sugar, and a little bit of pistachio. Called rahat lokum in Turkish, these sweets were popularized in Europe in the 19th Century by a British traveler who visited Istanbul. He renamed them "Turkish Delights," as the story goes. Turkish Delights also make a notable appearance in "The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe."
